About the Role

The Department of Health Tasmania is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team in the North of Tasmania. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-level clinical leadership and expertise in child and youth mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services through complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialized treatment programs.
  • Work collaboratively with innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new child and youth mental health services in Tasmania.
  • Lead and work with a diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, providing support and consultation as required.
Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate allied health professional course of study at a recognized tertiary institution and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.
  • Current Working with Children Registration.
Desirable Criteria
  • A minimum of 3 years current postgraduate experience in child, adolescent, and/or youth mental health or relevant field.
  • Training in relevant and appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are developmentally appropriate, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy, or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
  • Current Driver's Licence.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary package, including a base salary of $120,114 - $130,181 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation contribution.
  • Access to salary packaging benefits, including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year, plus other benefits if eligible.
  • Relocation assistance and visa support may be available for the right applicant.
