Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Perth. This individual will be responsible for delivering key projects across various industries, including health, commercial, industrial, and defence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the provision of mechanical services within Perth and supporting our organisation on a national basis.
  • Production of project documentation to client standards, including drawings, reports, specifications, and project advice notices.
  • Manage/support mechanical projects or sub-projects to achieve mechanical deliverables.
  • Support mechanical projects or sub-projects to assist Project Directors/Project Leaders.
  • Apply professional judgement progressively to more difficult tasks.
  • Provide mentoring and training for junior staff.
  • Managing drafting staff and BIM designers on a project basis.
  • Assure that project milestones and deadlines are met, tracking time and budget to invoicing and cash flow.
  • Project leading multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Undertaking professional development training, development, and experience using standard engineering methods and procedures.
  • Preparation of fee submissions for clients and managing client relationships.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including client and project prospecting and pursuits, procurement, and client relationships.
  • Contributing to business planning and strategic direction activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering within a building services engineering consultancy.
  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification.
  • Member of Engineers Australia and Chartered Professional Engineer (or on path to achieving).
  • A strong working knowledge with a range of relevant design software packages.
  • Experience in designing mechanical services in multiple sectors, including Defence, Commercial, Industrial, Health, and the like.
  • Thorough understanding of NCC and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Good level of report writing and communication skills.
