Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mining Engineering Manager to lead our underground mining operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing mining engineering standards and procedures.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to take on a senior leadership position in our mining operation. You will work closely with our team to drive strategic initiatives, optimize performance, and ensure long-term success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, supervise, monitor, and review mining engineering standards and procedures
  • Drive strategic initiatives and support high-performing teams
  • Champion safe work practices and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Manage and review effective standards for statutory inspections, communication, and reporting
  • Engage with statutory regulators and industry safety and health representatives as required
  • Cultivate positive relationships within site teams
  • Ensure detailed planning and scheduling to optimize production
  • Contribute to strategic growth and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Nsw Mining Engineering Manager Certificate (or equivalent), or ability to obtain one within 6 months
  • 10+ years mining experience, with at least 3 years in underground longwall mining (mandatory)
  • 5+ years in operational management and supervisory roles (mandatory)
  • Tertiary qualifications in mining engineering or related discipline (desirable)
  • Valid NSW explosive security clearance (formerly UHL) (desirable)
  • Valid Australian driver's licence
