We are seeking a Mine Geologist – Underground for the Kal East Gold Operation to help position the Kalgoorlie project for long-term success.
The position is FIFO from Perth or residential from Kalgoorlie with a negotiable roster.
Lakewood is ~6km from Kalgoorlie, with our mining operations located within a 40km radius of the centralised processing facility.
About the Opportunity Our Underground Mine Geologists are responsible for the execution of all aspects of ore control activities, including minimising dilution, grade control drill planning, sampling, core logging, ore production reconciliation, and providing input into the short-term plan.
About You Tertiary qualification in Geology or equivalent.
Experience as a geologist in the resource industry, within an underground gold mining operation.
Experience with geological software used in mining, including Leapfrog, Surpac, Datamine, and Acquire.
Exposure to 3 D modelling, block models, stope reconciliations, and face mapping workflows highly regarded.
Understanding of grade control, Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) sampling and mapping practices, reporting, mine reconciliation, and mining methods, systems, and processes.
