**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**:
We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Underground Mining Technicians to join the team at Ashton Coal Operation.

Reporting to the Mining Supervisor, this role will be responsible for operating and maintaining underground equipment, in order to meet production targets in accordance with the standards in place at the mine.

The role will require you to;
- Utilise underground experience and skillset to work across Longwall, Outbye and/or Development functions as required
- Proactively contribute to the safety of the team by identifying risks and hazards
- Supporting improvement initiatives and making suggestions on improvements
- Encouraging and modelling good housekeeping and equipment care behaviours

**Skills and Experience**:
The successful applicants will have and be able to demonstrate the following criteria;
- Experience and qualifications operating underground machinery
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the same or similar position
- Strong experience working in an underground coal mining environment with a detailed knowledge of development, longwall and support services
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team in an underground mining environment
- Excellent hazard identification skills and a willingness to participate
