Job Title: Shipping Imports Administrator

The role of a Shipping Imports Administrator is to oversee the processing of import manifests, generate arrival notices, and ensure freight and local charges are collected. The position involves interaction with consignees and their agents, ship owners and operators, and with the company's staff.

Duties:

  1. Processing of import manifests for shipping companies
  2. Generating arrival notices for cargo arrival
  3. Freight and local charges invoicing for clients
  4. Ensuring timely collection of freight and charges
  5. Arranging release of cargo on behalf of clients

This position requires strong communication skills, an ability to foresee and prevent problems, personal organisation, reliability with deadlines, and the ability to work independently.

A competitive salary package will be offered, including an annual discretionary bonus and profit share bonus after a two-year qualifying period.

The office location is at Artarmon on Sydney's north shore, however, flexibility to work from home or in other locations such as Brisbane, Fremantle or Melbourne may be considered.
