Aboriginal and Indigenous Policy Lead

We are seeking an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander professional to lead our projects and policy efforts. As a seasoned leader, you will play a critical part in shaping national policy and advancing the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This is a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension, and can be completed remotely or from a flexible location in Australia. You will work 25 hours per week, with an immediate start.
Your key responsibilities will include providing high-level advice to our CEO on national policy issues, leading the development of policy submissions, reports, and strategic advice to government and Ministers, and building and maintaining strong relationships with communities, government, health sector partners, and philanthropists.
You will also drive philanthropic opportunities to help resource our engagement with government and key stakeholders, scope opportunities for funding, grants, and partnerships to strengthen our sustainability, represent us at national forums and key stakeholder meetings, and produce clear, persuasive, and impactful written work to influence policy and resource engagement.
