Senior Energy Lawyer Role

Elevate partners with a leading utility firm to onboard a Senior Energy Lawyer for a contract.

This role offers flexibility, allowing the right candidate to work full-time or part-time in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have experience in energy and projects development, negotiating and drafting key project documents, and managing external legal counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on large-scale energy developments throughout their lifecycle.
  • Draft and negotiate key project documents, including connection agreements, power purchase agreements, offtake, and procurement contracts.
  • Manage external legal counsel and deliver training to internal teams.
  • Provide proactive, strategic legal advice to mitigate risks and drive commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across engineering, construction, procurement, and regulatory functions.

About You:

  • A lawyer with years' experience in energy, projects, or construction.
  • Demonstrated expertise in energy and projects development.
  • Extensive experience negotiating and drafting energy contracts.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a stakeholder-focused approach.
