National Skills and Training Officer Role Overview

The Australian Council of Trade Unions is seeking a National Skills and Training Officer to join our team.

This role involves working across the Skills, Training and Apprenticeships team to provide classification services and support to delegates, ensuring manufacturing workers are recognised and rewarded for their work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Department Work-Plan Development: Develop and implement the skills, training and apprenticeship department's work-plan as endorsed by the union.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with relevant departments and branches of the union in relation to skills, training and apprenticeships.
  • Classification Support: Assist with classification, skills, training and apprenticeship issues across all award coverages of the union.
  • Industry Representation: Represent the union on industry training advisory bodies, regulatory bodies and committees as required.
