
CTP Medical Disputes Specialist

As a specialist in managing medical disputes related to CTP and workers compensation claims, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life every day.
This role involves identifying and evaluating individual and organisational development needs. You will be responsible for delivering individual and group learning and development programs, expanding and honing our Medical Disputes capability. Your expertise in assessing Whole Person Impairment (WPI) in accordance with AMA 4 and the Psychiatric Impairment Rating Scale (PIRS) is highly valued.
Your Responsibilities- Develop strategies to clarify key stakeholder expectations and allocate resources effectively to ensure delivery of effective outcomes.
- Negotiate terms with external providers to secure high-quality service and delivery.
- Ensure appropriate attention is given to risk management and governance.
- Identify, report, and discuss emerging risks with the Legal Manager.
- Must have more than 5 years of experience in a similar CTP Medical Disputes or Injury Management Specialists role, working within a fast-paced business environment.
- Possess sound medical knowledge, preferably with a background in medical science, physiotherapy, chiropractic, allied health, rehabilitation, or similar fields.
- Demonstrate training and experience in assessing WPI in accordance with AMA 4 and PIRS.
- Showcase experience in managing internal and external medical disputes, including drafting applications, replies, and submissions.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Embody a collaborative approach, supporting Claims Managers to deliver fair, reasonable, and sustainable claims decisions.
