Job Description

As a Die Setter/Die Maker, you will be responsible for the production of dies for our corrugated fibre site converting machines. This includes the efficient setup and operation of die-cutting equipment to meet quality and production standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Efficiently setting up and changing over dies on die-cutting equipment to meet production requirements
  2. Ensuring proper alignment tension and setup of dies for accurate and precise cutting
  3. Completing basic calibration of Easy Benders (Nozzles Guide Length Radii)
  4. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to die setup and machine calibration
  5. Conducting quality checks on die-cut samples to verify conformance to specifications
  6. Making necessary adjustments to maintain high-quality standards and minimize waste

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A good working knowledge of Benders/Cutters both mechanically and software (preferred but not essential)
  • Technical training or certification in die setting or a related field (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs
  • Familiarity with die-cutting equipment and related tools
  • Attention to detail and precision to ensure accurate and high-quality production
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
