Job Title: Front Office Manager

Stamford Hotels and Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Office Manager to join our team at Stamford Plaza Adelaide.

About the Role:

The Front Office Manager will be responsible for managing the front office operations, ensuring seamless guest interactions, and driving successful service strategies that align with the department's KPIs and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage front office operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Implement and drive successful service strategies that align with department KPIs and goals
  • Manage effective rostering that aligns with wage budgets and staff competencies
  • Embed and improve a guest-first culture and support and coach team members to constantly uplift their capabilities and accountabilities
  • Schedule team training, track performance management, onboarding, and recruitment activities in conjunction with Human Resources
  • Control and manage daily hotel inventory, monitor room availability, and upselling initiatives
  • Ensure operational data, guest stays, and entitlements are accurate and correctly actioned in systems
  • Administration and reporting, including delivering key information to relevant departments regarding special events and group movements
  • Manage concierge duties
  • Manage emergency situations and provide first response to medical situations
  • Undertake regular security inspections of the hotel premises
  • Actively drive in-depth handover meetings, where issues are handed over to the next shift to ensure continuity of service and resolve
  • Manage staff rosters, tardiness, absences, leave accruals, and professionally manage team underperformance

About You:

  • A qualification in Hospitality Management is desirable
  • Current RSA, First Aid Certification, and a current driver's license are required
  • Experience as a Fire Warden and First Aid Officer is desirable
  • Experience with hotel booking systems, preferably Opera, is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate employees to deliver a high standard of service
  • Commitment with flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Have legal requirements to live and work unrestricted in Australia
