We are seeking a highly skilled Food and Beverage Service Provider to join our team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that every guest's needs are met with a smile.

The venue is a luxury hotel located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, offering 294 elegant rooms and suites, five trendy bars and restaurants, and over 800 square meters of ultra-modern event space.

About the Role - Banquets

We are looking for talented individuals who are passionate about delivering events that spark imagination and set minds racing. With almost 830sqm of ultra-modern conference, meeting and event space, we offer the perfect setting for spectacular events. Our expert catering team provides world-class cuisine and contemporary cocktails, making us the ideal choice for any occasion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serving food courses and beverages to guests
  • Setting tables according to event type and service standards
  • Providing information on menu selections
  • Communicating with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability
  • Relaying additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
  • Recording transactions in the point-of-sale system at the time of order
  • Checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverage
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
  • Completing opening & closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights
  • Presenting accurate checks to guests and processing payments
  • Ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Anticipating and addressing guests' service needs
  • Communicating clearly and professionally
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues
  • Supporting the team to reach common goals
  • Listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other team members
