Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our security operations team, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing large-scale security systems to identify potential threats and prevent security breaches.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a global team of experts in the field of cybersecurity. You will be working on a critical greenfield software assurance project, leveraging your skills and experience to develop and implement effective security solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor incoming event queues using advanced security management tools.
  • Identify, categorize, prioritize, and investigate correlated events to ensure swift incident response.
  • Perform detailed analysis and triage of events and incidents, escalating according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams across the organization to coordinate security and operational responses to incidents.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, real-time rules, and filters for large-scale security systems.
  • Design and implement event/incident procedures, long-term analysis, investigation processes, and reporting.
  • Document investigation results and provide relevant details for final analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in event generation and monitoring platforms, collaborating with engineering teams to implement enhancements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity Operations, preferably in a cloud-based environment.
  • Experience with SIEM systems, including rule and signature configuration and tuning.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying effective solutions.
  • Experience leading or coordinating team actions, even if not in a formal leadership role.
  • Knowledge of network and cloud security principles and practices.
Salary and Benefits
