We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Operating Room Nurse to join our team at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH). As a key member of our veterinary nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

About the RoleThis full-time position offers a competitive salary packaging option, with an estimated annual salary of $65,000-$85,000 AUD. In addition to your base salary, you will receive generous continuing education allowance and SASH paid maternity leave for all new parents.
Job DescriptionAs an Operating Room Nurse at SASH, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with surgical procedures and providing post-operative care to patients;
- Working closely with veterinarians and other members of the veterinary nursing team to ensure seamless delivery of patient care;
- Developing and implementing training programs for junior nurses to enhance their skills and confidence;
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification;
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a qualified nurse in a veterinary setting;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly;
- Experience with general anaesthesia is desirable but not essential, as we offer a structured training program for the right candidate.
