About the RoleThis key leadership position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial operations, ensuring compliance with external reporting, tax, and governance requirements. The successful candidate will lead a small, high-performing team to deliver accurate financial reporting and drive continuous improvement in processes and systems.
Responsibilities- Financial Leadership: Oversee timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, tax returns, P&L reviews, accruals, and financial reports.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with external reporting, tax, and governance requirements by implementing best practices in finance and accounting.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow forecasting for new hospital projects, including liaising with JV equity partners on capitalisation schedules.
- Insurance and Audit: Administer annual insurance renewals, ensuring comprehensive coverage across all aspects of the business, and ensure smooth and efficient annual audit processes.
- Process Improvement: Identify and execute cost optimisation initiatives across the organisation and maintain accurate record-keeping systems for financial and company documentation.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team by setting objectives, providing skills development, and fostering collaboration.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced finance professional with a passion for continuous improvement and excellence. The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years in a managerial finance role, with experience in a Big 4/Mid-Tier accounting firm or similar commercial environment.
- Professional accounting qualifications (CA or CPA).
- Advanced skills in Excel and accounting software with strong analytical capabilities.
- Deep technical knowledge of tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
