About the PositionWe are seeking a Casual Coal Quality Tester to join our team at ALS.
Key Responsibilities:- Safely handle and process large coal and coke samples in a production environment.
- Load/unload material from ovens operating at high temperatures, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
- Perform physical testing (crushing, sizing, dividing) using specialized equipment.
- Record and transfer validated test results into systems, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Carry out general site duties and safety incident reporting, contributing to a safe working environment.
- No prior experience required; comprehensive training provided.
- A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork is essential.
- Solid numeracy, literacy, and basic computer skills are necessary.
- You should be physically fit and capable of repetitive manual handling in a dusty and hot environment.
- Ability to learn quickly, wear protective equipment, and meet production deadlines.
