Job Title: Coal Quality Technicians, Physical Laboratory Testing (PTL)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Casual Coal Quality Technician, Physical Laboratory Testing (PTL). This role will be based at our site in Mayfield, NSW, and will require some weekend work as well as shift work.

\

The successful candidate will have a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork, with the ability to handle coal samples and process them according to instructions. They will also be responsible for loading and unloading coal samples from various plant streams, performing a range of physical tests, and transferring validated results into the reporting system.

A valid driver's license is required, as is the ability to organise work, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with safe manual handling duties, including repetitive lifting, and will be able to work independently without supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading coal samples from various plant streams
  • Handling coal samples and processing them according to instructions
  • Performing a range of physical tests, including sample preparation, sizing, crushing, dividing, and sample storage
  • Transferring validated results into the reporting system
  • Calibration and maintenance of specialized equipment
