We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Sedation Service Clinical Nurse to deliver expert, person-centred nursing care to paediatric patients ensuring safety, comfort, and positive healthcare experiences.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to paediatric patients undergoing sedation procedures with a focus on patient safety and well-being.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate timely and effective care interventions and provide exceptional patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of best-practice sedation protocols, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and promote excellence in clinical governance.
- Provide leadership and clinical teaching to colleagues, students, and less experienced staff to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Assist in service planning, problem-solving, and change management to enhance sedation service delivery and improve patient satisfaction.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Registered (or eligible) Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding (or eligible to hold) a current practicing certificate.
- Current Paediatric Life Support certificate (or willingness to complete WCHN Paediatric Intermediate Life Support program).
- Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience with demonstrated clinical competence in relevant nursing practice areas.
- Proven leadership skills, including strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Experience in developing clinical policies, procedures, and managing service-related projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, prioritise workloads, support consumer engagement, and lead change initiatives.
