Overview of the Role

As a nurse, you will be expected to deliver high-quality patient care that is centered around the individual’s needs and preferences. This involves assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care in collaboration with the patient and other healthcare professionals.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their health needs and develop appropriate care plans
  • Providing evidence-based nursing care that promotes positive health outcomes for patients
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between healthcare settings
  • Developing and implementing education programs for patients and their families to promote healthy behaviors and self-management skills

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with a relevant professional organization
  • Postgraduate qualification in a specialty area (e.g. pediatric, gerontological, mental health)
  • Proven experience in providing high-quality patient care in a clinical setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families and other healthcare professionals
