
Lead Developmental Disability Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinician to join our team in the Developmental Disability Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical leadership and expertise to support children, adolescents, and their families with mental health issues and developmental disability-related health concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert care to individual clients or groups of clients, providing comprehensive assessments and treatment plans tailored to their needs.
- Offer consultation and support to other CAMHS teams and staff, promoting collaborative practice and improving service delivery.
- Provide clinical leadership to multidisciplinary staff, mentoring and coaching them to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to quality and safety improvements in services across CAMHS and within specific service areas, identifying best practices and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes.
- Assume a clinical/professional leadership role within the team, coordinating workflow and ensuring that work meets required standards.
- Undertake professional supervision of staff within their team or across other teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
About You:
- You will have an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification for your respective discipline, as well as significant experience in developmental disability and child and adolescent mental health work.
- You will possess proven leadership experience, including the ability to coordinate workflow and motivate other professional staff, as well as highly developed communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- You will be able to apply specialist skills in resolving complex clinical problems and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, across teams, and with a range of agencies.
