About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will report to our Business Manager and be responsible for:

  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Growing business with existing and new customers
  • Increasing sales activities across multiple product ranges
  • Maintaining account and call plans, including activity
  • Monitoring product pricing and trading margins
  • Capitalizing on sales and margin opportunities
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve sales and revenue goals
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity
Requirements
  • Customer and sales-focused with experience in a similar role
  • Self-motivated and driven to efficiently manage your own time to achieve targets
  • Trade or product knowledge desirable – or a keen desire to learn
  • You are organized and exude professionalism
  • Proactive, can-do attitude and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience or product knowledge in the electrical, IT, data, or telecommunications markets will get you off to a flying start, but is not essential if you are passionate about learning our industry and product range
  • Career-driven with an appetite to develop your commercial aptitude
