About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Haematology Specialist to join our team at Healius. As a key member of our Haematology department, you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising and Organizing Training and Education for the haematology team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Reviewing Haematology Quality Control and Assurance performance to maintain successful accreditation of our core laboratory.
  • Assisting in Troubleshooting Technical Issues and ensuring that our laboratory equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Completing Internal Audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Managing Equipment and Method Validation/Verification to ensure that our laboratory tests are accurate and reliable.

About You

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following essential requirements:

  • Extensive Experience and Theoretical Knowledge in haematology, including flow cytometry, morphology, specialist coagulation, and Hb Electrophoresis.
  • Sound Knowledge of Haematology Quality Control and Assurance performance, including ISO15189, NPAAC, and CLSI guidelines.
  • Good Understanding of Statistical Analysis and its application in haematology.
  • Ability to Work Independently and with infrequent supervision.
  • Excellent Communication Skills and a collaborative approach to working with the team.
  • Ability to Prioritize and Manage Multiple Tasks and make sound judgements.
