Job Summary
We are seeking a driven and solution-oriented individual to join our team as an Employment Consultant. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of empathy and compassion for people living with disability, illness, injury, or employment barriers.
About the Role
The role involves developing strong rapport to understand participants' needs, interests, skills and experience. You will assist with participants' resumes, job applications and interview preparation, identifying and assessing barriers towards employment and creating solutions to support them at work and ongoing. You will also create job plans with our participants to support clear pathways into sustainable employment, increasing their employability through training and other support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing strong relationships with participants to understand their needs and goals
- Assisting participants with resume development, job applications and interview preparation
- Identifying and addressing barriers to employment
- Creating job plans and supporting participants in achieving their employment goals
- Increasing participant employability through training and other support services
- Sourcing employment opportunities through networking and sales strategies
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a background in customer service, sales, retail, call centres, hospitality, consulting, business development or administration. You will possess excellent communication skills, be able to maintain composure under pressure and demonstrate the WISE attributes: Customer Centricity, Curiosity, Resilience, Adaptability, Creativity and a Growth Mindset.
