Job DescriptionAs an Employment Consultant with WISE Employment LTD, you will play a critical role in connecting job seekers with employers who care. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing strong relationships with participants to understand their needs, interests, skills, and experience
- Assisting participants with resume development, job applications, and interview preparation
- Identifying and addressing barriers to employment and creating solutions to support job seekers at work and beyond
- Creating job plans with participants to facilitate clear pathways into sustainable employment
- Increasing employability through training and other support services
- Sourcing employment opportunities through networking and sales strategies
You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with potential employers and community organisations, as well as sourcing employment opportunities through various means. Additionally, you will work closely with participants to develop and implement effective job plans, ensuring their successful transition into sustainable employment.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you will require:
- A strong understanding of disability employment principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders, including job seekers, employers, and community organisations
- A willingness to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Full Australian working rights and a valid driver's license
This role offers a competitive salary starting at $69,000, plus Not-For-Profit Salary Packaging benefits, superannuation, and more.
