Experienced Building Surveyor Wanted for Temporary Part-Time Role

MBC Recruitment is seeking a skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join our team on a temporary part-time basis. This role will involve working within a small team to undertake building inspections and ensure compliance with Council's policies and legislative frameworks.
About the Position- This is a temporary part-time position, with 2-3 days per week available.
- The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health and Building or a related field.
- Accreditation with NSW Fair Trading at a registration level of Building Surveying – restricted (class 1 and 10 buildings) is essential.
- Assess and determine or certify the extent to which applications documents comply with technical building requirements.
- Issue approvals, consents or building permits as applicable under relevant State and Territory Laws.
- Inspect building work to audit compliance with relevant laws.
- Inspect health and safety aspects of existing buildings to verify ongoing compliance with approval or occupation requirements.
- A Class C Drivers licence is required.
- The ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment is essential.
- The salary for this role will be commensurate with skills and experience, estimated to be around $80,000 - $100,000 per year.
