Event Coordinator

The primary objective of this position is to coordinate and execute events for the School of Architecture, Design and Planning. Key responsibilities include liaising with external stakeholders, building relationships with industry stakeholders, and managing project communications.

About the Role:

  • Coordinate events such as conferences, workshops, and networking sessions
  • Liaise with contractors, caterers, and other external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of events
  • Develop and implement event marketing strategies to promote events and increase attendance
  • Manage event logistics including venue selection, catering, and audio-visual equipment

About You:

  • Experience in event management, preferably in an academic or professional setting
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with academics and other professional staff
  • Well-developed organizational and project management skills
