About the Role:

The Director of Educational Leadership will lead a team in line with school and departmental initiatives, participate in delivering the vision of State Schools Division, develop the quality of teaching and learning and nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.

This position includes line management of HPE (years 6-12) and a small team of junior secondary teachers. The role is also responsible for supporting literacy initiatives across the school.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embedding socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Setting high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participating in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Being futures oriented and strategic.

For this position, we are looking for a candidate with strong curriculum knowledge, well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work strategically as an instructional leader.

A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be desirable but not essential.
