The Role of Traffic Engineer Project Manager

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned project manager to lead complex traffic engineering projects and collaborate with various stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation engineering, excellent project management skills, and experience working with state and local public agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage traffic engineering projects from planning to implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
  • Negotiate between public and private sectors to achieve project goals
  • Represent clients/projects at public meetings, maintaining strong communication skills
  • Supervise subcontractors, manage project administrative activities, and lead a team of project engineers
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or transportation engineering; master's degree preferred
  • Professional Engineering license (NC, VA, SC) or ability to obtain
  • 5+ years of transportation engineering experience, including working with state and local public agencies
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills
Job Requirements
  • Mid-Senior level project management experience
  • Familiarity with Synchro and Microsoft Office software packages
