Job Title: Traffic Engineering Project Manager

The role of a Traffic Engineering Project Manager involves overseeing projects within the traffic engineering department. This individual will work under the supervision of the Traffic Operations Manager to provide comprehensive reporting and execute project initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all project planning, development, implementation, management, and evaluation align with company objectives.
  • Negotiate between public and private sectors to drive project success.
  • Represent clients/projects at public meetings, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide senior-level expertise in traffic engineering and project management.
  • Supervise and manage project engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including proposal preparation and billing, to support project operations.
Qualifications for Success
  • A bachelor's degree in civil or transportation engineering from an accredited university is required, with a master's degree being a significant advantage.
  • Professional Engineering licensure (NC and/or VA, SC) is essential for this role.
  • At least 5 years of experience in transportation engineering are necessary for success in this position.
  • Experience working with state and local public agencies is highly valued.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills are crucial for achieving project goals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are vital for effective collaboration and client representation.
