Technical Infrastructure Specialist

The role of Technical Infrastructure Specialist is a key position that requires the individual to oversee the health, reliability, and stability of data technical infrastructure. This leadership position demands extensive experience in technology, preferably within the financial services sector, and proven leadership skills in a matrix structure.

  • Collaborate with the technical delivery team to ensure the stability, reliability, and health of the data technical infrastructure
  • Optimise and manage data warehouse platforms and data acquisition capabilities
  • Develop Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge across products
  • Monitor platform health by overseeing disaster recovery tests, patching, and access management
  • Develop and maintain the roadmap for data warehouse capabilities with a focus on optimisation
  • Prioritise and manage the backlog of work
  • Resolve incidents with the technical team to ensure timely resolution
  • Consult with stakeholders on platform capability and propose effective solutions
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts, including IBM
  • Contribute to the broader leadership team by fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of data warehouse environments, with desired experience in IBM DB2Warehouse on Cloud and Infosphere products. They will also have excellent stakeholder and vendor management, internal consultation, and relationship-building skills, as well as strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and storytelling abilities.
