Expert Data Developer Sought

We are on the hunt for an expert data developer to join our team in Brisbane. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing technical functionality against global data platforms and existing warehouse platforms.

The successful applicant will be accountable for delivering optimal data pipeline architecture, identifying and implementing internal process improvements, building infrastructure and data products, and working with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues.

The purpose of this role is to design, develop, and implement informative visualizations that enable the business to make informed decisions. This involves extracting, transforming, and loading data from a wide variety of data sources.

  • Optimize data delivery through redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Build and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
  • Design and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources.
  • Work with stakeholders including the executive, product, and data teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve data quality, security, and governance.
  • Keep internal data separated and secure across national boundaries through well-architected sensitive data patterns and later enhancements to include regions in Azure.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working as a developer in the data space.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Python/PySpark Notebooks.
  • SQL, working with relational databases, query authorizing, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing methodologies.
  • Creating and supporting reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Experience ingesting data from various sources, including APIs.
  • Coding languages: Python, PowerShell.
  • Microsoft BI tools: SSIS, SSAS, SSRS.
  • Creating automations using Power Automate.
  • Experience with version and source control (Github) and Azure DevOps.
