Job Title: Production Planner

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our team in a newly created position. This role will be responsible for the planning and smooth running of manufacturing operations across 14 production rooms.

  1. Develop and maintain productions schedules, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement & logistics teams, to ensure seamless operations.
  3. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet business objectives.
  4. Ensure team members perform their tasks efficiently and accurately, providing support and guidance when required.
  5. Mentor and develop staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  6. Oversee the work of team members, acting as a liaison between the team and management.
  7. Estimate material and labour requirements for production, ensuring accurate forecasting.
  8. Promptly address and resolve product issues, maintaining high-quality standards.
  9. Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality requirements.
  10. Participate in production meetings to communicate schedule changes, production priorities, and resource requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the FMCG, Pharmaceutical or Medical sectors.
  • Good computer skills, ideally with prior experience with SAP (or other ERP) systems.
  • Sound interpersonal, communication, and numeracy skills.
  • Able to work independently, yet effectively collaborate with a team environment.

Benefits:

  • This is an office-based role, Monday to Friday, with standard hours being 8.30am to 5.00pm.
  • The salary range is $80,000 - $90,000 + Super, negotiable dependent on experience.
