Job Title: Site Construction Specialist 

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will oversee daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. They will act as an excavation authorized person (AP), overseeing excavation permits and compliance with QGC procedures.

Additionally, they will provide technical advice and troubleshooting for construction and execution issues, liaise with landowners to ensure proper land access permissions, and monitor contractor performance.

They will also conduct site surveys, quality assurance checks, and participate in project handovers, maintaining strong communication with stakeholders and ensuring timely reporting of risks and issues.

Moreover, they will support engineering design and field issue resolution.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in excavation and backfill of live assets in the oil & gas industry.
  • Proven experience with HDPE water and gas gathering systems.
  • Certificate III in Gas Supply Industry or ability to obtain.
  • Competency in squeeze-off, hot tap, HDPE welding, flange management, and N2 purging/testing.
  • Familiarity with LPD & HPV excavation and installation.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline construction from clearing to rehabilitation.
  • Experience with safety management systems and HSSE principles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and contractor supervision skills.
