We're seeking an experienced professional to guide and advise our management teams on safety initiatives that make a real impact. Your expertise in navigating legislative requirements will be invaluable as you champion our commitment to keeping everyone safe.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WHS/OH&S legislation, with a proven track record of leading teams to achieve results. They will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.

This role involves supporting all aspects of ASC's WHSE programs and initiatives, including on-ground support, risk reduction, and assurance activities. The successful candidate will also contribute to a positive people culture that values continuous improvement and develops new processes and procedures in line with 'Lean' thinking.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of WHS policies and procedures;
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Conducting audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement;
  • Developing and delivering training programs to promote a culture of safety;
  • Providing advice and guidance to management teams on WHS-related matters.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • A working knowledge of Australian WHS/OH&S legislation and regulations;
  • Proven experience in conducting audits and inspections;
  • Ability to respond to a changing work environment;
  • Demonstrated time management skills with ability to manage concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proven success in leading teams to achieve results.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is around $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience.
