Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Crime Risk Specialist to join our team in Adelaide, South Australia. As a key member of our Financial Crime Surveillance (FCS) team, you will play a critical role in detecting, deterring, and fighting financial crime.


Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Receive and manage cases assigned by managers, applying a fresh perspective to each one.
  • Customer/Stakeholder Contact: Handle inbound and outbound calls to support customers/key stakeholders in managing requests for information from the bank.
  • Investigation: Utilize a detailed checklist to guide your analysis, perform transactional analysis, and investigate discrepancies.
  • Data Analysis: Work with large data sets to identify unusual patterns and behaviours.
  • Collaboration: You'll have support and apply best practices to determine if cases should be escalated.

Requirements
  • Prior customer service experience, including call handling, is required.
  • Experience within banking or financial services is desired.
  • Previous experience within Financial Crime is also desirable.
  • You must have an investigative mindset and strong analytical skills.
  • Critical thinking and the ability to interpret information and make decisions are essential.
  • You should be comfortable working independently and managing your own case load.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
  • Computer literacy with the ability to work with multiple systems is required.
