About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Manager to join our Paediatric Medicine team in North Adelaide. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team and contribute to providing high-quality healthcare services to women, babies, children, and young people.

As a Nurse Manager - Safety, Quality & Risk, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking strategic project management and providing specialist advice on risk, safety, and quality.
  • Establishing regional policies, procedures, standards, and projects related to the Division.
  • Collaborating with Divisional staff and the Safety and Quality Unit (SQU) to develop a continuous improvement framework.
  • Ensuring adherence to clinical reporting requirements and delivering various projects, plans, and evaluations.
  • Maintaining positive working relationships within the organization and with external entities.
  • Accepting responsibility for nursing management practices and contributing to a safe, positive work culture focused on patient outcomes.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current practicing certificate.
  • At least 3 years post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse/Midwife.
  • Demonstrated competence in relevant nursing/midwifery practice according to standards.
  • Effective leadership skills, including communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
  • The ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Prioritization and meeting timelines.
  • Experience in leading and promoting consumer engagement initiatives.
