The role of an Administrative Compliance Officer is pivotal in ensuring an organisation's compliance with regulations and standards within the disability sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organise compliance-related documentation, including audit reports, training records, incident reports and policy documents, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by compiling documentation and scheduling meetings.
- Update and distribute compliance policies and procedures under the direction of a Service Optimisation Manager, ensuring accessibility for staff.
- Schedule and organise training sessions for staff, track attendance and maintain training records.
- Document and track incidents, ensuring accurate and timely submission to regulatory bodies (e.g. NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission).
- Input and manage compliance data in organisational systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy laws (e.g. Australian Privacy Principles).
- Act as a point of contact for staff inquiries regarding compliance processes, redirecting complex issues to the Service Optimisation Manager.
- Prepare routine compliance reports for management, including summaries of audit outcomes, training completion rates and incident trends.
- Monitor and disseminate updates on disability industry regulations and standards to relevant teams, as directed.
- Provide clerical support for compliance activities, such as filing, correspondence and meeting minutes.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of compliance within the organisation. Your strong analytical skills, combined with your attention to detail, will ensure that all compliance related tasks are carried out effectively.
