Job Title: Chief Governance Officer

We are seeking an experienced Chief Governance Officer to provide strategic leadership and oversight of our corporate governance functions.

This includes developing and implementing robust governance frameworks that meet statutory obligations and support informed decision-making. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading corporate governance functions and providing strategic advice in complex, multidisciplinary environments.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of statutory compliance obligations, including policy frameworks, declarations of interest, RTI coordination, and audit engagement.

About the Role
  • Oversight of public interest disclosures, conflicts of interest, right to information, ethics, lobbyist management, and audit coordination;
  • Driving strategic planning and reporting cycles, facilitating risk workshops, and serving as the principal liaison for regulatory and government engagements;
  • Leading the development and implementation of mandatory online training for all non-HR policies, including identifying and repurposing ELMO modules for Authority use;
  • Maintaining and reporting on key compliance registers (Corporate Policy Suite, Complaints, Lobbyists, Employee Interests), overseeing the Policy Centre on The Loop, and coordinating periodic reviews of policy artefacts including reminders, QA, registration, and approvals;
Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and reporting on key compliance registers;
