We are seeking a qualified and experienced mental health clinician to join our multidisciplinary team environment, providing high-quality care to patients and their families.

About the Role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing assertive and intensive family-focused intervention and short-term care coordination, including comprehensive assessment, collaborative goal setting, and care planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.

  • Work in collaboration with team members in developing and supporting best clinical practices that are associated with optimal outcomes for young people and families.

Clinicians will be required to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with community-based service providers, stakeholders, and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, collaborative goal setting, and care planning, intervention, and evaluation of care for children, young people, and their families who are experiencing acute and complex mental health problems.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community-based service providers, stakeholders, and families to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care.

The ideal candidate will have a recognized degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy, with registration with AHPRA or membership to AASW. They will also have demonstrated knowledge and skills in the assessment, formulation, and treatment of child and adolescent mental health problems and family relationship problems.

Requirements:
  • Recognized degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy with registration with AHPRA or membership to AASW.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the assessment, formulation, and treatment of child and adolescent mental health problems and family relationship problems.
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and skills in working systemically with young children and adolescents with mental health problems, their families, and their system of care and support.
