The Role:

We are seeking an ER/IR Specialist to join our team, driving employee relations and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in managing workplace policies, grievances, and misconduct, ensuring seamless compliance with Fair Work legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert advice on employee relations matters, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
  2. Manage and resolve ER/IR issues in a timely manner, guaranteeing compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  3. Collaborate with industrial advocates to resolve complex ER/IR cases, driving positive outcomes for the organization.
  4. Draft accurate and consistent documentation related to ER/IR matters, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  5. Ensure full compliance with Awards, pay conditions, and other industrial instruments, safeguarding the rights of on-hire employees.
  6. Educate and support recruitment consultants, equipping them with the skills to manage ER/IR matters and escalate issues appropriately.

Requirements:

  • Recent graduates with relevant knowledge are welcome; experience in HR or ER/IR roles is advantageous.
  • A strong understanding of Australian employment legislation, including Awards and industrial instruments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive and confident approach to managing ER/IR issues, with the agility to adapt to changing situations.

First Priorities:

  1. Develop a thorough understanding of Manpower's Award classification processes for Australian-based roles.
  2. Gain confidence in managing Award approvals autonomously, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  3. Begin educating recruitment consultants on ER/IR matters, enhancing their ability to support employees effectively.
  4. Develop proactive measures to ensure continuous compliance with IR regulations.
