Job Title: Cloud Automation Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to contribute to the development of Juju, a large open-source project that powers complex distributed software systems worldwide. Juju is the engine behind model-driven operations and provides a means to operate complex software on public cloud, private cloud, Kubernetes, and bare-metal.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to the design, delivery, and support of features in a highly concurrent, highly distributed system that drives cloud automation and software operations at scale.
  2. Collaborate proactively with a distributed team to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  3. Debug issues and interact with upstream communities publicly to drive open-source collaboration.
  4. Work with experts in various fields to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements:
  • Experience developing software using Go programming language.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, especially in online environments.
  • An exceptional academic track record from both high school and preferably university.
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
