Job Overview

Our platform, Ubuntu, is widely used in various initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT.

As a Software Engineer, you'll contribute to the development of Juju, a large open-source Go project that powers complex distributed software systems worldwide.

Juju is the engine behind model-driven operations, providing a means to operate complex software on public cloud, private cloud, Kubernetes, and bare-metal.

Combined with the Ops framework, Juju provides a comprehensive solution for applications and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a distributed team to design, deliver, and support features in a highly concurrent, highly distributed system driving cloud automation and software operations at scale.
  • Debug issues and interact with upstream communities publicly.
  • Work closely with talented engineers including experts in various fields.
  • Develop and implement efficient solutions through collaborative discussions and idea sharing.
  • Adhere to high standards of quality, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in developing software using Go.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, especially in online environments.
  • An exceptional academic track record from both high school and preferably university.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
