Senior Consultant Opportunity in Heritage

Urbis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our growing Heritage team in Perth. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and high-profile projects, providing expert advice on heritage conservation, adaptive reuse, and heritage impact assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage heritage projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice on heritage conservation, adaptive reuse, and heritage impact assessments.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including client relationship management and proposal preparation.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in heritage conservation, history, architecture, or a related field.
  • Post graduate qualifications or extensive experience in heritage conservation is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in heritage consultancy, with a strong understanding of Western Australian heritage legislation and best practices.
  • Proficient knowledge and ability to apply statutory heritage legislation from both the Heritage Act 2018 and the Planning and Development Act 2005
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to lead and deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare high quality written reports using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative suite software.
  • Some ability to use Auto CAD for architectural conservation documentation is highly desirable.
