Residential Care Manager

Job Description:
As a Residential Care Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential services in Brisbane. You will mentor a team of youth workers in providing purposeful support to young people in residential care with high and complex needs.
Key responsibilities include building professional relationships with children and young people, ensuring the home is a safe and nurturing environment, and managing staff to work in the best interests of the young people.
Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individual care plans, managing staffing levels, and coordinating intake and transition of new children and young people into the home.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar
- Completed Top Up Units in Youth Work or enrolled to complete these
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or similar (desirable)
- Experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma, disadvantage, and disability
- Experience in managing and leading a team and possessing strong leadership skills
- Demonstrated capacity to manage crises and critical issues
