Senior Culinary Leader Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food experiences for a wide range of high-impact events.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will contribute to menu innovation, uphold culinary standards, and help lead a motivated, collaborative kitchen team. You will be located within a luxurious resort with modern facilities, offering opportunities for personal and professional growth.

About the Role
  • Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily culinary operations and ensuring consistent, high-quality food delivery
  • Mentor and develop junior chefs while assisting with recruitment, rostering, and payroll to build a strong, efficient team
  • Contribute to menu creation and innovation, bringing fresh, on-trend ideas to large-scale events and functions
  • Manage inventory, budgets, and supplies to maintain efficiency and profitability
  • Collaborate with purchasing to ensure smooth kitchen flow and timely stock availability
  • Foster a safe, compliant, and positive kitchen culture built on teamwork and respect
  • Elevate the guest experience by driving creativity and excellence at every service touchpoint
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in a similar leadership position, with strong banqueting experience essential
  • A hands-on approach, with the ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Strong communication and delegation skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Solutions-focused and adaptable, with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Able to work independently, with initiative and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends, nights, and public holidays
