As a seasoned employment law professional, you will play a pivotal role in advising clients on various employment issues. This encompasses employment commencement, performance management, termination, equal opportunity, workplace harassment prevention, and health and safety.
You will draft comprehensive employment contracts, contracts for services, deeds, policies, pleadings, and other related documents. Your negotiation skills will be put to the test as you prepare Enterprise Agreements and advise clients on award coverage and interpreting enterprise agreements.
Conducting litigation for unfair dismissal, industrial action, bullying claims, breach of contract, and discrimination claims is an integral part of this role. You will advise on mandatory reporting and compliance with reportable conduct schemes, manage issues related to student discipline and safety, and handle stakeholder and media management.
To excel in this position, you must stay up-to-date on employment law changes through research and engage in business development, article writing, and conducting client presentations. You will mentor junior lawyers and promote professional growth within the team, contribute to the firm's internal Learning and Development programs, and maintain accurate records and billing.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a commercial law firm committed to delivering exceptional legal strategies through market-leading expertise. With hands-on experience, quality mentoring, and diverse learning opportunities, you will thrive in a culture of inclusion and balance.
