About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Human Resources Manager, reporting directly to the Operations Manager at our Yarrabee Coal Company site. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in delivering productive and proactive solutions focused on HR services. Your primary responsibility will be to strategically partner with the operation to drive business outcomes, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that aligns with our company's values.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and provide direction to a diverse HR team in all facets of HR Services, including ER/IR matters, recruitment, performance management, and cultural alignment.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with our overall business strategy, driving business outcomes and improving operational efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional departments and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Support the development and implementation of cultural improvement strategies, focusing on site success and employee engagement.
- Contribute to the development of a positively engaged workplace culture, fostering a sense of community and belonging among employees.
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a similar position, leading and driving teams for success.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and develop employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proven experience in driving and fostering a positively engaged workplace culture.
- Consultative and collaborative approach to HR services, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with well-developed commercial acumen.
