Project Overview

We are seeking a skilled Temporary Works Coordinator to join our team for the Beerburrum to Nambour (B2N) Rail Upgrade Stage 1 project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe planning, design, implementation, and dismantling of temporary works on-site, while maintaining compliance with legal and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and managing all temporary works activities on the construction site.
  • Ensuring that all temporary works designs are compliant with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Reviewing and approving temporary works designs and ensuring they meet project requirements.
  • Liaising with design teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of temporary works activities.
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate control measures for temporary works.
  • Monitoring the installation, use, and dismantling of temporary works to ensure compliance with approved designs and safe working practices.
  • Providing technical advice and support to project teams regarding temporary works.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, including records of temporary works activities and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of temporary work activities.
  • Sub-contractor management including scope of works creation and tendering.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field such as Engineering, Engineering Science, Building, or Construction.
  • Ability to collaborate with the site foreman and site staff for project needs and to deliver project updates in daily pre-start meetings.
  • Coordination between site and project office with current information, issues, and risks.
  • Demonstrated site experience would be highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
