Temporary Works Coordinator

This role involves the planning, design, implementation, and dismantling of temporary works on-site to ensure safe working practices and compliance with legal and project requirements.

The Temporary Works Coordinator acts as a vital link between the design team and site operations to mitigate risks and ensure project efficiency. Key duties include:

  • Coordinating all temporary works activities on the construction site
  • Ensuring temporary works designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
  • Reviewing and approving temporary works designs for project requirements
  • Liaising with design teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders for effective communication and coordination of temporary works activities
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures for temporary works
  • Monitoring the installation, use, and dismantling of temporary works for compliance with approved designs and safe working practices
  • Providing technical advice and support to project teams regarding temporary works
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, including records of temporary works activities and compliance

Essential skills and qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure projects in Australia, preferably delivering road, rail, or bridge projects
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of temporary work activities
  • Sub-contractor management skills, including scope of works creation and tendering
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as engineering, engineering science, building, or construction
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated site experience highly regarded
